IQAC Structure
Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)
As per the guidelines of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is constituted to develop a systematic and structured mechanism for quality enhancement and sustenance in higher educational institutions. The structure of IQAC is designed to ensure participatory governance, transparency, and accountability in institutional functioning.
1. Chairperson
The Principal of the College serves as the Chairperson of IQAC. The Chairperson provides strategic direction, policy guidance, and overall leadership to ensure the effective implementation of quality initiatives.
2. IQAC Coordinator
A senior faculty member is appointed as the IQAC Coordinator who functions as the executive head of the Cell. The Coordinator is responsible for planning, documentation, communication with NAAC, and execution of quality-related activities.
3. Teacher Representatives
Experienced faculty members from different departments are nominated to represent academic diversity. They contribute to curriculum planning, innovative teaching practices, research promotion, and academic reforms.
4. Management Representative
A nominee from the Governing Body/Management is included to ensure alignment of quality initiatives with institutional vision, mission, and policy framework.
5. Administrative Officer
A senior administrative official is included to strengthen coordination between academic and administrative units and to facilitate implementation of institutional policies.
6. Student Representative
A meritorious student representative is included to ensure student participation in quality assurance processes and to provide feedback on academic and campus-related matters.
7. Alumni Representative
An alumni member is nominated to offer external perspectives, career insights, and suggestions for institutional improvement.
8. Employer/Industry Representative
A representative from industry or the employer sector is included to bridge the gap between academia and industry and to enhance employability-oriented initiatives.
9. External Expert
An external academic or quality assurance expert is nominated to provide independent guidance and professional advice on institutional quality enhancement.
The IQAC structure is multidisciplinary and participatory in nature. It functions as a central coordinating body that integrates academic planning, research development, administrative efficiency, and stakeholder engagement. Through this well-defined structure, IQAC ensures continuous monitoring, evaluation, and enhancement of institutional quality standards in alignment with NAAC guidelines.
